Breast Implant Tax Break for Massage Worker

Updated 7:36 AM ET September 19, 2000

COPENHAGEN (Reuters) - A tax appeals board in Denmark has allowed a massage parlor
worker to deduct the cost of breast implants, newspapers reported Tuesday.

The board decided that the surgery represented a legitimate investment.

Danish corporate tax law says investments to improve or maintain facilities for running a
business are tax-deductible.

The municipal tax authority had initially rejected the claim.

DearTLC: Thanks for your varied reports. I am half-way through "The Journeyor" by Jennings. Takes place in China, Tibet, etc. Lyrical tales of the adventures of Marco Polo in Kublai Kahn's time. I saw these warriors at the China Exhibit at the Royal Museum in Victoria, BC a few years ago. It was magical. Karen
