But we are not entering a crisis shortage. It will probable not become a crisis shortage unless governments intervene in the free market (either OPEC raining in production, or price controls by oil using countries neither of which is very likely in my opinion).

Why is it so hard to understand that the supply of oil is finite. You can speculate all you want but there is no alternative fuel source on the horizon. That we as a nation consume more then our pro rata share of oil.

Now if you were the sole source of income in your household and you made $50k per year, and your wife or girlfriend were spending $75k per year, I bet you would stop it real fast.

The USA and the other developed nations are using more oil than is being produced. The price is going up. The developed countries need to be put on an oil diet.

If you understand the first part re your wife or girlfriend, then you should understand the second part. No politics, no ideologies....just the facts.
