Rich,

I am planning on doing that but have had 2 questions for awhile.

Since I'm still in the prehistoric world of dial up, doesn't that make me less of a target because of the slow speed? Also since these backdoor programs return access info to their masters for later use, doesn't having a new IP every time I go online (dynamic IP) make it next to impossible for them to find the door they got in the last time?

Alan

Heck, an OpenBSD box running on a old pentium would do the job as well. :)

No kidding - I built my firewall on an old Compaq P75 that has nothing in it but a floppy drive and a couple of network cards... Running a single floppy distro of Linux. Pretty cool stuff...
