California is now considering a tax on the internet.

Charley... Look up Gov. James Gilmore, R-VA...

And see what he says about an internet tax....

Ah.. heck... I just come out and tell you.....

HE'S COMPLETELY AGAINST IT!!

And btw, being Silicon Valley "East", the birthplace of AOL, Sprint, MCI/Worldcom, UUNET, and the fact that some 85% of ALL INTERNET TRAFFIC comes through the region... etc, etc..., Virginia swings CONSIDERABLE WEIGHT on the issue...

Listen.. the facts are clear... we used to be able to run this country's government, preserve national defense, take care of one another, and help those without many means, WITHOUT the bureaucracy and the heavy tax rates...

It can be done again if you take the money away from those possessing the mindset of:

......"Well, we're in Sept, the last month of the Fiscal Year... so we have to spend all of the rest of our budget so we can justify the same amount, or more, NEXT YEAR"....

I saw it happen in the military when personnel who needed or wanted training earlier in the year couldn't get it as they husbanded training funds. But boy o' boy... tell them you wanted to go in Aug/Sep and they had the additional funds... they would send you in a heartbeat just to maintain their budget.

And I'm sure most of you have see something similar in your lives.

But the funny thing is that we don't do that in our own lives, do we??

Regards,

Ron
