Hi Gang,
ELECTRONIC BUYERS NEWS via NewsEdge Corporation : Texas Instruments Inc. announced last week it has shipped more than 8 million line drivers for use in ADSL-modem ports this year, about 25 times more than the Dallas-based company shipped in 1999. Of those 8 million ports, the company shipped 3 million that included both its DSP and analog chipset solutions. Based on data from IDC, Framingham, Mass., that a total of 18 million ADSL-modem ports will be shipped in 2000, TI believes its ADSL technology, either as line drivers or chipsets, will be included in about 45% of all ADSL equipment shipped worldwide this year.
