Doug, sounds as if the pending news is "GATA lawsuit launched" -- but with GATA as receiver, not initiator. I wouldn't stand too close to Bill Murphy -- or the news may be "GATA+DougAK lawsuit launched"! :)

Last trade for Barrick 15. That number is an accolade for a well managed business. Will we see 12, which would represent some value for anyone interested in trading barrick stock. A move from 12 to 16 would offer a 25% return, which would not be bad from a dog with fleas.

At some point, a suit by barrick shareholders cannot be discounted. ABX has played a pivotal role in the implementation of the hedging techniques used by the producers which have been contributory to the decline in the pog.

I will probably get an obligatory "nuts" from triple D on that statement.

Ken

... a tense G7 meeting this weekend in Prague,
likely to have major implications for gold.

... don't be surprised if you hear reports that derivative regulation
is being discussed in Prague. It is a key issue in which.....

... the U.S. national oil reserve to hold down.....
... such a move would have little to do with solving
the long term problem, which by the way,
remains essentially a systemic currency problem.
