Traders took advantage of the recent 500 point retreat to do some bargain hunting in the fiber-optic, networking, fibre channel, B2B and chip stocks... And while volume and breadth figures were encouraging, it will take more than one good day to alleviate market concerns over slowing earnings growth, rising energy costs and lackluster leadership... Consequently, will be interested to see if traders do any follow-up buying beyond today's open... We doubt they will, at least not with any conviction... Market fell too far too fast to recover on a dime... Needs a little more time to consolidate before sustaining an advance... Nevertheless, Tuesday's gain supports Briefing.com view that the end of the slide is in sight, and that the path of least resistance from here will be to the upside
