Gus, if I'm not mistaken, Sandisk (SNDK) makes barrels of cash off their IP/patents/royalties. Not sure if you count compactflash as storage, however.

FWIW Gus, I don't think royalties from Inrange is the story here. As a long time investor in Ancor, I was just happy to see somebody actually wanted their FC technology. <g>

...you do mean Inrange's fibre channel products ONLY, don't you?

The Inrange S/1-A filed 9/18 contains the Licensing Agreement that has a table delineating the royalties for the FC/9000, CD/9000, and a category labeled Broadband. The royalty figures were * 'd out in the table. They could have been like 0.00 for the CD/9000 and Broadband, but who knows? I'm assuming the Broadband category is the Ancor FC-ATM bridging technology that was also included in the agreement. Whether the technology is still under development or already included in product is hard to say. Ancor was to develop 4 Boards, 2 for the FC/9000, 1 for the CD/9000, and 1 Board still unaccounted for. The agreement Exhibits listing the Board specifications was not included in the filing.
