Personally, If I were shopping for a new color PDA,
I would probably go with the iPaq over a color Palm or Visor.

Rocky, is it possible some imposter is posting under your screen name?!?

The Windows CE/Pocket CE color devices have been pricier, in part, because of the high definition LCD screens that support 16 bit color. The Palm IIIx (with its unimpressive color resolution) and the latest Handspring model indicate that there must be some increasing consumer preference for color LCD screens.

My first and only handheld is the Cassiopeia E-100 and I would never consider a gray scale downgrade. Eventually consumer preferences and checkbooks will determine what features will show up and eventually succeed in PDA's. I have a feeling that gray scale and monochrome screens may become a historical side bar.

The color screens open a whole new world (and allow totally new applications) to those currently living a black, white, gray and pale green existence with their Palm Pilots.
