CORRECTED - SG Cowen repeats strong buy rating on Analog Devices

NEW YORK, Sept 21 (Reuters) - SG Cowen said on Thursday it gave semiconductor maker Analogue Devices Inc. (NYSE:ADI - news) an investment rating of ``strong buy'' and a stock price target of $120-125.

The firm said Analogue Devices surprised analysts by highlighting optical switch technology for Nortel Networks Corp. (NYSE:NT - news), giving it a leadership position in that area.

Shares of Analogue Devices rose 1/2 to $90-11/16 in early afternoon New York Stock Exchange trading. The stock's 52-week range is between $23-5/16 and $102-7/8.
