Idea Integration Helps Compaq Launch New iPAQ Line of Personal Internet Devices and Services
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 20, 2000--Idea Integration, the e-business solutions unit of Modis Inc., the $1 billion IT subsidiary of Modis Professional Services (NYSE:MPS), has teamed with Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE:CPQ) to help launch Compaq's new iPAQ family of Internet devices and services. The iPAQ line of products and solutions allows users to take advantage of personalized and customized information, as well as the wealth of content on the Internet - anytime, anywhere.

The product line includes the Personal Audio Player, the Blackberry Wireless e-mail solution, the PocketPC, the Home Internet Appliance, and the Connection Point.
"Our creative team stepped up to the challenge of effectively showing the world what the iPAQ line can do. As the high tech industry continues to move toward personal and wireless communications, the iPAQ line places Compaq at the forefront of industry trends. In order to reflect the stylish, cutting-edge aspect of the new line, Idea created the introductory Flash demo to complement the iPAQ Web site and highlight iPAQ's core truths: innovation, simplicity, and usability, in order to deliver an "experience," which is what iPAQ is all about. The demo was designed to reinforce the iPAQ family's key concept: the ability to satisfy the modern users' needs for instant access, freedom, and flexibility.
"iPAQ is redefining and expanding Internet access and use for our customers," said Bill Sidwell, senior manager of brand planning and implementation, Compaq Computer Corporation. "People want a common set of devices they can use on the job, in the home, or on the road, and that is one of the messages behind the new sub-brand and the interactive experience we set out to create."
"Idea Integration helped us achieve our goal of delivering a simple, practical experience that cuts across commercial and consumer boundaries, and complements and extends functionality of our industry-leading PC products," Sidwell added.
Idea has also been engaged with launching the brand on Compaq.com throughout all the product pages within the Compaq stores.
