I wonder how long it will take investors to realize that the only way out of the emerging crisis is to drill? The US doesn't want the remaining Saudi heavy sour crude, mainly because US refineries aren't set up for it. The Saudi's know this. That's probably why they don't want to release it. Prices for their crude will collapse. Even if it goes to asia for refining, they have to refine it to our standards, which is no easy task. That also means lot's of extra tankers due to the scheduling headaches.

I don't expect too much importing of crude in the coming weeks. The increase in tanker rates is also increasing the arbitrage spread for bringing in Brent crude. We might HAVE to dip into the SPR this winter. Good thing it ain't filled with that Saudi sludge.

Anyone still looking at gasoline stocks? Around February attention is again going to start to focus on gasoline, levels of which are likely to be even lower than this past winter. Next year there will be even more gas guzzling vehicles on the road. I just added one. Razor just added one...

Then there is the whole NG situation, which is an even bigger problem...

EDIT: Maybe there will be a snotload of Brent coming. SLB's site currently says they are giving it away free!

BLACK GOLD's spike will lead to YELLOW GOLD's breakout....that's the story here ...come on trade deficit... the US trade imbalance is at levels indicative of a historic flight from a countries currency; a huge EURO vs. the Dollar reversal is a comin'...
