It was considered a good school where medium of instruction is English. Such schools are also known as convent schools. I am not too surprised myself about my lack of deep knowledge of the incident as our tendencies were to focus on Math and Science than say history, geography (the latter two don't put food on table till this day). Meanwhile I did find out more info that corroborates both your statement as well as mine geocities.com geocities.com PS: The funny thing is that we were taught more about Boston Tea Party and world wars than Indian history. Mutiny was just a small chapter (maybe a couple of pages)
