Yes. Many people know about it but not completely. For instance I would know more about the incidents that took place in Lucknow than in say Delhi or Meerut. People in south India would have learned history that was more relevant to the struggle in their area. With so much diversity you can expect a diverse curriculum. Also we have ancient history, medieval history to contend with, besides the stories of non violent freedom struggle. Plus I am growing older and looks like there are some memory leaks ;))
