The market can't ignore, as is also rightly pointed out in the same article, a Y2000 eps of $3.50 on revenues of $5 billion and the very real potential for $5.00 eps in Y2001 on $7 billion in revenues very much longer...The price spikes up in the near term are likely to be both violent and unannounced...

The funny thing is how few people will relate point 1 to point 2. Without point 1 there will be no consistent earnings growth.
