Briefing's account of Niles' statement today:

13:10 ET Niles Comments : Lehman analyst Dan Niles makes positive comments about Intel (INTC +1 15/16), Compaq (CPQ -5/8), and Micron (MU +3/8); Lehman sources tell us that Niles sees Intel's business improving going into the end of the quarter.

One week and a couple days to go in the quarter. Probably more Intel microprocessors flying out the door right now than anything except capacitors, tantalum or ceramic! Salomon Smith Barney, another monumental bad call.

>>Bingo - Whittington gets the "Kurlak oops" award for axing a sound company gratuitously.

You think these guys are working in tandem?

Tony

Bwahahahahahahahahahaha! ROTFLMAO :-) Looks like we've heard the last of Niles. So it is Niles and not Kumar that has joined the Kurlak camp! What a difference a day makes!
