I'm sorry. $50 million is an obscene amount of money to spend to bring the McDougals to justice. It most certainly was a witch hunt. It is ludicrous to suggest it wasn't a witch hunt. What we also have done here is set a bad precedent. No doubt there will be more witch hunts in the years to come when the executive branch of government is controlled by one party and the legislative branch is controlled by another party. What amazes me is how effectively Clinton led the country in light of the witch hunt.

it had to be used evenhandedly.
To be evenhanded, Clinton should have pardoned everyone involved the way Reagan/Bush pardened North, and Poindexter, and the other traitors.
