"Selling on good news is not a good sign."

My thouhts also. Just went from 100% invested to 45% cash. Looking at the charts, there should be some good buys coming up at some point, but it sure looks like a little caution is warranted here. We will see. Can never go broke taking profits, IMHO.

Jim. In my Thurs post said ST the sentiment looked way too bullish.

The negative reaction too good API and DOE news shows the tape confirming that ST sentiment extreme.

End of quarter crosscurrents could wipsaw us up and down some, in here. But do feel we made at least a ST top in the OSX.

Don't have a downside target. Will just try to sniff it out of the tape action when we get close. These end of quarter periods are the most difficult times to tape read with all the noise from last minute insititutional portfolio switching.

We have had a nice run in the patch stocks since late July/ early August, so a correction coinciding with shoulder season weather would make sense. After that I'd expect another strong rally.

If the broad stock market cracks our ST drop would likely become a deeper intermediate correction in the patch IMHO.

Don't like the way the broad market is acting right now.
