They are big critters but then again I've seen some huge bull beeves. Anything that size will startle you. One guy fenced in 240 acres and has a herd. The fence posts are railroad ties. You can drive through the compound but honking is discouraged as they will charge a vehicle if provoked.

The buffalo tastes like lean beef. One of the best meats I've eaten was Yak. It tasted like aged prime beef.
