Anybody selling covered calls tomorrow?

If so, what's the best option, in your opinion?

Dear VFD: THIS year end is difficult to predict let alone NEXT year end. Reason being is the election. IMHO if Bush wins and Congress stays reasonably Republican should have a great year end and good next year. If Gore wins and/or Congress goes to Democratic control I think it could be difficult. I realize these are my thoughts not shared by everyone, however my thinking is that what this country needs to continue its strong showing is Regulatory restraint (we are now competing GLOBALLY and many other countries ASSIST their nations LARGE CAPS not hinder them), and some tax relief for all of us individuals and companies alike. That just isnt going to happen with Democrat control. Might happen with Republican control. Thats the MACRO picture in USA. I happen to think, barring a war or something the Global economy is going to continue to grow very well and interest rates will subside world wide as production efficiency kicks in overseas. Thats my view of the MACRO picture Globally.
Getting to the Micro picture of EMC, I think the acquistion of this past year will NOW begin to show REAL IMPROVEMENTS in margins and revenues. By next year Mike and team should have gotten all the BUGS out, be bringing out new products from this acquistion and have written off all the crud. Also the sales team should have been trained in the new offerings. Thats my view of the Micro picture for EMC.
OK, now that I have laid the groundwork for the above this is my SEAT OF THE PANTS PREDICTION. By the end of 2000 (12/31) I have no problem seeing this stock trading between 120-130 per share. By the end of 2001 I am comfortable with an estimated share price between 140-150 a share. I dont see a DOUBLE from these current levels only because I think the stock will rest abit and allow the reality to catch up with the expected. haha. Note that if the Macro environment doesnt turn out as I hope above, all bets are off however. JDN
