Loaded up on all of the stocks mentioned in my previous post with the exception of WCOM. Painful memories. Still waiting for the bottom. I even tried to pick up a little FSTW at 3 today for grins but wasn't filled. Picked up 1,000 INTC and 1,000 CDO today also. Also am loaded up with ALSC and MOT. I have begun using margin at these levels. Any thoughts on impact of oil prices on the economy? What will be OPECs take on draw down of our strategic reserves? A couple days supply at most and too late for the heating season anyway with refineries running at capacity. Gore must not realize that seasonal shortage of heating oil is by design. More likely this is a purely political move. Oil will be a long term drag on our economy, I'm afraid, but fortunately it is smaller and smaller piece and will drive development of energy technologies. OPEC needs to take middle road or they will hasten their own demise. They want to get into the refining business now and our energy policies are playing right into their hands. This makes a certain amount of sense if you're an environmentalist concerned with air quality.
