Yeah, good looking and charismatic seems to carry the day. Bush Sr., Clinton, and Kennedy are/were both. Ford wasn't elected, so he doesn't count. But how do we explain Carter, who was one of the two, and Nixon who was neither? Probably both were just over-reactions to bad situations (Nam, Watergate). So maybe that means if the situation is bad, the challenger wins, and if the situation is good, the good looking, charismatic one will win. So the next porch contest should be "who is uglier, and who is more boring?"

Thinking it over, I like Sheryl Crow for President.

One Radio Talk show host was blasting Gore-- I guess at a union speech he said his parents sang him the song "Look for the Union Label" as a lullaby, even though the song was written when he was 27! That was funny....
