you misunderstood...or maybe it wasn't clear...i equated the US term "liberal" with "semi-communistic"...i'm only saying, the German term "liberal" actually translates to "libertarian" in English. it doesn't mean liberal in the sense of...well, Dick Gephardt comes to mind...
the English term liberal the way it is used in the US would probably be best translated as 'sozialistisch' or 'sozial-demokratisch'...and those guys, at least in Austria, are also known as the "Moskau Achse"...(Achse=axis)
