No need to worry about it, Intel warned that revenue growth will only be 3-5% from last quarter and every stock in after market hours is getting hit hard.

hospitalman, you should listen to your gut more.

You were dead right. "Clear Sailing" is a scary phrase, ala INTC.

Ken, With a little hindsight, I'd say my call on BRCM was a good one. The chart actually looks OK. I would expect a run-up into earnings, a split announcement, a run past 300 then some profit taking. (We may see some profit taking after 10/1, since what was driving the stock today was possibly "window dressing")

BRCM has got INTC in their sights and I think the world might as well start using the "Broadcom Inside" logo vs. the "Intel Inside" logo.

Remember that tomorrow is the last day for funds to sell, take gains/losses and not have positions show up on their books. End-of-quarter window dressing is driving the market right now (as well as a blatantly lousy sales/earnings warning from my employer - EK)

Cheers, Keith
