MWD misses Wall St. views

Morgan Stanley Dean Witter (MWD: news, msgs) reported second-quarter earnings of $1.25 billion, or $1.09 a share, up from last
year's profit of $970 million, or 83 cents a share, but 8 cents below the average estimate of analysts polled by First Call. Revenue rose
18 percent in the latest three months to $6.29 billion from $5.33 billion in the same period a year earlier. Shares of MSDW closed
Wednesday at $95.94, up 0.1 percent.

doesn't matter...yesterday's objective was to save the NAZ from the abyss, today it's the Dow's turn...who cares about Europe? or Hong Kong for that matter? (down over 500 points overnight). this is an insular bubble now...it exists in its own lala land...
