To Thread:

I'm still mulling JXM's postulation that the market may rise through October.

As we all know, our group here is pretty good at the collective thingie. This morning I decided to clear my mind (not at all hard to do<G>) and do a test. I would appreciate input from you folks.

Situation: you are all in cash. Would you buy, intending to hold several days or more, today?

It's the old "market climbs a wall of worry". I think most folks would fear having any new purchases fall out from under them in the perceived coming market drop. Therefore, accumulation by nervy buyers have a chance of making money until the majority say "hell, I've missed out on the last 30 points" and start buying.
