Drew, my partner and I wrestle with "is there a market for G" frequently. I came to the conclusion long ago that US urban dwellers alone would make G at least breakeven. The reason being is the feature story this week in Barron's entitled, " The Wealth Revolution".

In it they predict millionaire households to climb to 10 million by the end of 2001, from current level of 7.2 million. But the more interesting figure is the growing number of pentamillionaires (5 million bucks), estimated to grow to 2 million by end of 2002, from current level of 590,000.

We feel strongly that 10 to 20% of these groups will likely own the phone soon, either out of necessity or keeping up with the Joneses. MOUs average about 50 min/mo.

best regards,

bt
