Chic, <Some of the nutcases over on the Rambus thread are claiming that Intel has switched its future server memory plans to DRDRAM. Did I miss something? I thought Intel was in the process of moving away from Rambus?>

The situation isn't binary. Intel has plans for both RDRAM and DDR.

Intel's new SBT2 server for the XEON uses 133 MHz SDRAM - and a ServerWorks chip set.

Chic, I don't normally read the Rambus thread. Has one of the touts over there seen a roadmap for Foster that has DRDRAM on it? That would throw a big curve at the OEMs, but some of them have people that can hit curve balls. Foster/DDR is all I've ever seen.
