Jim, regarding Warren:

I remember beside Warren not investing in techs (where he says being unable to predict future earnings reliably enough), he insists on three things:

- business must be understandable (the point you mentioned)
- consistent (good) earnings in the past (AMD? Ouch)
- management candor (Big Jerry in earlier years? Ouch)

Once he said he likes businesses built up like unconquerable castles with deep moats around. If most of us here think that Intel isn't such a castle anymore, what about of AMD being one?

Boris

re: "and probably learned his lesson again.(WARREN BUFFET)"

NAW!!!!!! MUCH TO OLD, STUBBORN, AND SET IN HIS (SUCESSFUL) WAYS TO CHANGE NOW!!!!!

He will not buy tech...he does not understand it. BTW AMD satisfies almost all of his criteria, save two, (there are a great many) he just will not seriously consider "tech".

Patient Regards,

DARBES
