(BSNS WIRE) Cala Implements Strategy for Hotel/Spa Franchising
Cala Implements Strategy for Hotel/Spa Franchising

Business Editors

OKLAHOMA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 21, 2000--Joseph Cala,
Chairman and CEO of Cala Corporation (OTCBB: CCAA), attended meetings
in San Francisco yesterday with officials of Wimberly Allison Tong and
Goo and Economic Research Associates.
They determined that the 100-room, all-suite hotel and world-class
spa that Cala Corporation will build on land adjacent to the recently
acquired Il Picciolo Golf Club in Italy will serve as a prototype for
a new hotel/resort franchise program for Cala Resorts.
The new hotel/spa will be designed by George Berean, principal of
Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo with assistance from highly respected
spa designer Arthur Firmes, whose company was recently acquired by
Cala Corporation. Economic Research Associates will participate in
this development program by conducting feasibility studies on each
future proposed Cala Resort location.
Mr. Cala stated: "The Cala Resorts strategy will promote a Ritz
Carlton and Four Seasons style of 5-star service while charging
patrons Hilton Hotel and Hyatt prices. In addition, Cala Resorts will
institute a hotel/spa training program to train future managers." Cala
said that the resort and spa franchises will operate much like the
high-profile European resorts by instituting hands-on training. Mr.
Cala plans to use the McDonalds model for franchising since they have
mastered the action of on-premise operations.
Cala Corporation is an expanding global hospitality company
headquartered in San Francisco/Silicon Valley with offices in Oklahoma
City.

CCAA. I just forgot they are now a full reporting company. Raging Bull site indicates that the Constanzo project is not a done deal that other companies are competing also. Have you heard of any thing?
