Can you name one new chip that's been out on time within the last 5 years? Even within 6 months late?

Sparc III, Itanium, Alpha, POWER, etc.

The list goes on, all chronically late.

That schedule was posted in... 1998 and Intel is coming ahead of it. Which is more than I can say for DDR. Micron said in Q4 1999 that there will be DDR PCs in Q1 2000. Talk about missed schedules.... If they can't read only 4 months ahead what can they read? Well, they can at least read vapor/paper launches and legal papers ;-)
