I bought an Hitachi 62" Ultravision HDTV. The HDTV picture is excellent. There are however, only two channels available for HDTV in my area but more are expected by year end.

I do not know whether the Hitachi uses RDRAM but it is clear that they can still improve the HDTV picture even more with higher bandwidth. Images depicting rapidly change have a discernible jerkiness.

Richard> However, the fact remains that HDTV is here whether you want it or not. I know several people that are looking into HDTV

I do like it and have seen it for many years when I lived in Japan, but is it worth the present extreme extra cost NO! Yes many people are looking, but FEW are buying. It's a luxury that many would like but few can justify buying.

When you also consider parents are trying to get their kids away from the T.V. is also a factor to consider.

HDTV should not be considered a major factor in the Rambus profit equation.

PURE HYPE! Maybe in 2-3 years but then, will it even matter.
