If influence is the barometer that the SEC is using, then the analysts should be their first targets.

I can't help thinking it's unfair that an analyst can legally selectively disclose or trade on a opinion before he makes it public, but this kid gets nailed for touting stocks. We've all said Intel is a raging buy at some point in time on this thread, and most of us owned the stock at the time. Should we be prosecuted?
