The DVD images are still not as impressive as the HDTV.

Sly> For me, getting an HDTV just to watch DVD movies in higher resolution out of my progressive scan DVD player and in widescreen, is well worth it. Yes it is nice to have but worth it?? I use to have a 50" plus Pioneer rear projection T.V. but didn't like having a refrig sized box in my family room. Now have 32" standard T.V., I will likely wait until the Panasonic LCD hang on your wall models reach the $1500 level. Living in Japan for so many years makes me prefer small compact products..a.k.a bigger or faster isn't always isn't better. digitaltelevision.com regards Don
