Ok I have no problem on disagreement.

If they evolve CPI to a pure ASP company or at least 50%+ and finally get some meaningful revenue than it should be valued higher than a $200 million figure I threw out there based on current/future revenue. But the analyst report is saying any spin off should garner a $1 billion valuation and I find that laughable.

CPI in current form is not worth much (in my opinion only and of course different from many on this board I am sure), it has potential to be worth something more, but that all depends on execution and direction of the division over the next year or so. The revenue growth should tell the story if they are successful but NO ONe (not me, not the analyst, not Westell management) knows how successful that will be.

Anyhow, good discussion - I just don't want to start seeing on message boards all over the place

"Well if you value Westell on the CPI division ALONE its worth $1 billion and you can get all the rest of WESTELL for free!! What a steal!" because sometimes these analyst reports start becoming gospel to message board posters (Yahoo more than SI)
