There you go misquoting me again. I never said that. What I did say is that one of the roles of government is to act as a occasion for the Public Good. You call this manipulation and "evil". I call the release of some of the strategic petroleum reserves as a form of economic relief for business and individuals.

You want a Recession. I want the economy to remain strong.
I know the economic cycle has not been repealed and some day the US will see another recession. But every attempt must be made by Gov't to prevent that from happening. That is not "evil."

Richard, just because gold tends to perform very well in a Recession where the dollar is under pressure, does not mean that I have to hope or will for a Recession.

In contrast to you, I'm a Humanist and I hope the economy remains strong. More people benefit under a strong economy than a Recession.

But I'm also realistic so I own a Gold stock.
