Cirrus, I can't believe it, AMD down 15% now! Intel is "only" down 13% (at $55). Does anyone have more details about the warning?

Intel issues sales warning
--4:24 pm - By Alec Davis
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (CBS.MW) -- Intel said Thursday its third-quarter sales would fall short of the company's previous expectations,
citing weaker demand in Europe.
The chip giant now says it expects revenue for the period to rise 3 to 5 percent from the $8.5 billion it generated in the second quarter.
Intel (INTC: news, msgs) also said in its report after the closing bell that its gross margin will be 62 percent, plus or minus a point, instead
of its previous estimate of 63 to 64 percent.

Cirruslvr:

"Sh*T, Intel WARNED... Taking AMD down with it after hours... $25..... This sucks."

Comment: Shouldn't really surprise anyone...After all INTC hasn't announced sale of any investments this quarter :-)...

Should mark the turning point for AMD when it becomes apparent with their outstanding Q3 results that we really do have two companies heading in diverging directions...AMD price ascendancy is about to unfold methinks, independent of the perceived general market conditions, if AMD Q3 results are as good as I think they'll be!!!
