Whativer - INTC vs. AMD INTC already has lost the programmers battle: INTC 64 bit has a new arcitecture and needs a new assembly language. Programmers must redo from scratch. Downward compatibility problems too. AMD -64 bit is an extension on the former architecture, and runs most existing applications without problem. Not even speaking of TramsMeta, Cmpaq Alpha, Sun, Mips,.... But this is not new news. INTC also trying to catch up with the dot.com Have you seen the media.intelweboutfitter.com not convincing for me. Haven't seen many conclusive initiatives from INTC in the past months. But this is not new news. I am somewhat surprised with the reaction of the market, everybody and my cats expected a slowdown in INTC.
