Chic,

""AMD has has made no change to its previously stated guidance.""

I had placed an order to get some more shares. AFter reading that qutote I cancelled my order...

All it takes is a press release that says -

AMD remains comfortable with previous estimates... blah blah blah...

That's all..

Comment: Awesome...With or without any public announcement, AMD is about reach that hitherto elusive "escape velocity"...Q3 earnings report will be the shot across everybody's bow confirming that AMD has indeed arrived on the big stage...

Dedicated to chic, Pravin (and Cirruslr to a certain extent)

I love that news release. It's actually the best news of the year. Do all the kind of ultimatum you want to toni but, even if you succeed to influence her, she doesn't have the power to influence AMD's direction. It's pretty likely that the question : "Will AMD do their quarter" will be asked to some AMD folk which will answer some "AMD has not changed guidance for the quarter" tomorrow.

I feel VERY VERY good with it. What I just don't want to is a Press Release saying that AMD won't meet it's unit shipment target and/or won't meet estimees.

Wether the truth explode tomorrow or on oct 11th makes no difference to me. We all know how AMD can climb fast, especially now than the stock is splitted and a 10 points gain weight 2 times more than before. AMD rised 15 points after-hour the day of the Q1'00 results.

We have now the confirmation that Intel can't cut the PIII's prices anymore. THEY ARE TRAPPED. They can't play the price war game anymore.

I just hope you guys have shares instead of options...

BTW intc is trading in the 49's while AMD is trading in the 24-25 1/2 range.
