I agree with you on the valuations. Then can someone please explain to me why AMD is trading down 22% at $23 a share? AMD's PE has got to be single digits by now. Is there a bottom on this stock? And yes, I did buy some today at 27+ looking for a technical rebound but never expected that AMD will see 23. Shows that you can never time an entry and an exit on a stock. Anyone with some DD or TA on AMD? Is there a bottom or a range or should I just cut my losses and get out? Thanks.

This is a crap shoot. There is no question that the Naz as well as AMD and mostlikely the Dow are going down tomorrow. Probably next week there will some rebound and AMD should do better than Intel.

However, the million dollar question is....how well is AMD doing? Last week Intel told the press everything was fine.

The market doesn't trade based on P/E's when it is in panic mode. "Perfect Market Theory" is flawed by short term mob psychology. Good traders profit from it.

You bot at 27+ and are concerned? So, it is cheaper now. I bought at 23 1/8 but have been unable to buy more at that price. Even a good panic has it's limits. AMD and other semis will sell off in the morning. I have seen several posts such as "Oh hell, I got a margin call yesterday and will have to sell tomorrow". Blood in the streets can often be tasty. Blood in the streets when the economy is generally robust and AMD is hitting on all cylinders with new product ramps that are kicking Intel's butt is glorious imo. But don't let me calm your fears . . .

Now is the time for everyone to panic big time! The bubble has burst. Intellectualizing about this is an idiots game - just sell at any price and count your remaining blessings. You can always buy back when the stocks are moving up.
