OK, that makes sense. I had the impression from Glenn that Bezos thought the US was a lousey market.

Let's make sense of this. Why would anyone spend billions in a market which is the worst for the channel through which they sell? Why not just start in Europe and once Europe is profitable, move to other countries? If Bezos knew this and really believed it, he surely made a major error.
