Petz,

<I was in the process of setting up custodial accounts for my kids and selling their mutual fund shares. Looks like my timing was perfect.>

I set up a custodial account for my son just two days ago. He bought 40 AMD shares at $27.50 using buy and hold service (they charge only $2.00 per trade. However, they pool all the orders received, and do the buying/selling twice a day - in the morning and in the afternoon)

< may get a margin call sent tomorrow, but I will meet it, this is the buying opportunity of a lifetime.>

I already got a margin call which may take into effect automatically tomorrow. I may lose 10% of the shares I have. This is my second margin call.

During the last down turn, I believe lot of margin in AMD got purged. So this time the margin calls may not affect the AMD stock price that much. On the other hand many AMD shorters may be forced to cover AMD if Intel & other tech stocks collapse tomorrow. As far as Intel is concerned, we may see considerable down turn in the coming few days due to margin calls.
