"Finally some analysts are getting the picture...

dailynews.yahoo.com

"Scovel also said it's possible Intel is losing market share to rival Advanced Micro Devices, which has been making major strides in the chip market during the past year."

If that co-relation can be made or proven.. AMD's stock should start to rebound dramatically.. even the analysts cant ignore that

Scott,

I saw that but I am not buying it. I think AMD is making inroads into Europe but not that fast..it just doesn't have that many chips coming out of Dresden.

I think the problem with Intel is somewhat company specific; that they have been preoccupied with other businesses, that they have not executed well, that there customers doubled up on orders and then cancelled. But I think the cancellations were greater than what was expected and I think that is related to a slowing economy, not just in Europe, but elsewhere as well.

However I could well be wrong; there is nothing definitive out there yet. But it seems that the evidence grows almost daily now. Plus the fear that oil will push prices higher is also of concern. It would be great if everything gets better. Nonetheless I am planning for the worst.
