40% man o' man. It should be illegal, heck if I had that much of one stock, I would be eating and sleeping at the front door of the company with my ears on the railroad tracks.

It is not illegal as long as their prospectus tells the world about it.

The stupid probably applies more to the people that put their money into a fund after looking at last years return and never read what the fund invests in.
