With Gore and Clint asleep at the oil switch, (Clint's even trying to declare the Artic Wildlife refuge a national monument) AND the stock market about to tank again, how will this effect Gore vs Bush? Will sheeple look more to Gore to bail them out of will they get mad and vote for Bush?

Jim

If the Government were to do anything they should have been adding to the reserve when the price was below $15

If I'm not mistaken, I believe we were buying additional oil for the SPR from Venezuela and Mexico in order to support their petroleum sector..

Fundamentally, I would rather have the implicit threat of releasing a certain amount from the SPR in order to prevent panic buying (like what is going on now and may continue up to the first part of winter), than letting too much go...

We're getting to the point where we might actually have to tap into it just to allay the fears of the market...

But WHAT I'M UPSET ABOUT IS WHY WE'RE IN THIS POSITION IN THE FIRST PLACE....

And the blame for that can comfortably rest upon the shoulders of the Clinton/Gore administration and their EPA Jannisaries...

High prices are not in the interest of either the West or the oil producing nations... it will lead to over-production and eventual recession/depression in Asia, just as they are trying to escape from the Asian contagion.....

Regards,

Ron
