But still, the street deals on expectations, not "is that so bad". That and the lost credibility. There will be much less faith in their guidance for the 4th quarter. If they had warned earlier, they would have at least appeared to have a handle on how their business was doing.

I agree with you. this reaction is way out ofproportion but that is what the street does. if INTC earns $1.40/share, that's a 34PE on a co. that is growing profits at a 35% clip and revs at a 18-20% clip. I don't get it but i guess i don't have to. the market is tanking tomorrow and given it is a friday, there will be no buyers to hold over the weekend.

I guess Wittington is wishing hehad left his call on INTC to the bearish side. Heck, I'd take his target of 55 right now. fat chance.
