Things have really slowed down in after hours. The price seems to have leveled off at 49 1/8.

EP,

That's good...it seemed to be holding at $48. I would not be surprised to see it drop to the low $40 and then swing back up to $48-50.

If it does that, things will be bad for the Naz but not disastrous.

What I am worried about is that there has been so much bad news lately, the street's proverbial wall of worry has become huge and Intel's miss is all it will take to make the wall fall the wrong way.

The equipment makers book-to-bill just came out and the number is a good one at 1.24, which is better than July's 1.23; the first time that that value has gone up sequentially in 4 or 5 months.
