the stock you're looking for has the telling symbol GOLD. it was recently under pressure because the RSA authorities declined approval of its merger with FN. after reflecting on this a little bit i've come to the conclusion that that's actually created a buying opportunity...you're looking at a company with 72 million oz. of PROVEN reserves, the mining of which costs approximately $220/oz. (total cost) right now. well, you do the math on what that should be worth... earnings have been rising sharply for three quarters in a row to boot(you wouldn't know it from looking at the stock price), and it's completely unhedged.
