since, i don't do options, i have no comment. oh heck, maybe i sell a call occasionally..but usually i'd rather sell 1/2 my common.

i use margin very sparingly (usually not at all).

i find neither options nor margin necessary to get quite satisfactory returns.

i do like your long term buy hold strategy even though dell is down...i hope you have read geoffrey moore's books.
