Jorj, It seems strange that the oil reserves have not been replenished during the warm season this year, helping to fuel this crunch. Meanwhile, from what I read earlier, the entire strategic supply is 29 days worth of consumption and Gore wants to free it up. Genius. tp

Bill Richardson, the Energy Secretary well of course but in my humble opinion it all started with Greeny. Go to the source.

Every expert I read and or saw on the news said that even if we had a little inflation we were in a different economy and that you couldn't use the old rules.
Remember before Greeny did his thing we had internet stocks doing well and an overall upbeat outlook in the economy. The internet was leading the economy on a new path. Similar to the "Industrial Revolution".
The U.S. and the world was embarking on uncharted territory with people making a good living and new ideas being put into action.
Now Greenspan has in effect killed it.
Remember, Greenspan said that there wasn't enough inflation to justify his actions it was because to many people were working. It sounded crazy then and it has proven to be crazy now. The man is nuts and power hungry with to large of an ego.

Ok I have said my peace enough on that crazy guy.

>>How much of this should be blamed on Bill Richardson, the Energy Secretary?<<

Guess he was too busy at fund raisers, imagine loading up on oil when it was $10/barrel....<gg>
